The main difference is the goal. In our system, passing exams is mandatory, but not the only goal. And in order to free up time for all-round developmental classes we have introduced the i3.school method. Through a system of intensives with game plots, children master the topics of the school curriculum twice as fast. And they do it enthusiastically, with pleasure, in the company of peers, and with an understanding of why they need this or that subject. Through adventure to achievement!
We use the free time to explore the real world through experience, to see what they will become in the future. Children try themselves in different professional spheres through collective project activities. This develops entrepreneurial competences in them, creates contact with representatives of industries, gives feedback - how the world reacts to their projects. Awareness of what I want to do and what I need to develop/study in order to become a pro in it is formed. When a child finds something interesting to him, he will start looking for an opportunity to make money with the team while still in school, will not drop out of school like 20% of his peers, and most likely will work in their field of study, unlike 60% of his classmates.
